Monday birds

No foliage today, I'm afraid—just some bird pictures I took while over at Mom and Dad's this evening for dinner.

Starting things off, a Chickadee in what can only be described as the classic "mountaineer who just attained the summit" pose:

A Junco in the blue spruce:

A Blue Jay coming in for a landing:

A male Cardinal all puffed up to ward off the late afternoon chill:

Another Cardinal sitting on the feeder while a Titmouse hangs out:

Nestled among the needles:

Talk about getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar:

The one shot I managed to get of these three Titmice when they were on the fountain at the same time:

Finally, Kaylee. She was trying to focus on Mom's dinner preparations and whether she'd be needed to assist with any cleanup, which is why she gave me the look she did when I finally got her attention:

  1. I just wanted to tell you again how much I enjoy your photos and the captions.

Kaylee looks like she's waiting to quality-test the food. Such a noble and helpful canine.
