By popular demand

My friend Sarah, who has her own excellent photo blog, requested a Kaylee-heavy photo post when we had lunch together today. Since I had to stop by Mom and Dad's anyway, I was more than happy to oblige her.

Before we get to the Kaylee goodness, a few bird photos. To start things off, a new bird to my blog—a Purple Finch:

I happened to spot an Indigo Bunting on the feeder stand when I went to rinse out my soda can, and was able to get over and open the back door in time to take this shot:

Seconds later, a Rose-breasted Grosbeak arrived and caused the bunting to take off:

A few more grosbeak shots, as they were the only birds besides the finches to visit the feeders while I was there:

Although this looks like a case of ritual feeding, as far as I could tell the male didn't have a seed in its beak to pass along:

Which may be why the female seemed rather cranky moments later:

And now, Kaylee time.

While we all know she has a special fondness for the blue chair, there really isn't a piece of furniture she doesn't see as her own:

Waking up a bit while my folks had lunch:

Or not...

I took her outside for a few minutes, mostly to add a bit of variety to the photos:

However, the heat and humidity tend to take a lot out of Kaylee, what with the permanent fur coat and all. So it wasn't too long before she wanted to go back in, and took even less time for her to decide a nap on my parents' bed was in order:

And last, but certainly not least, a shot I took while Kaylee was patiently waiting for me to give her a cookie:

So, Sarah—how'd I do? ;)

  2. Sara you did good! Thanks for all the Kaylee photos.

As I said she could have a career as a "cute photo dog". You could do a blog for her and line up lots of photo shoots...and I think she would be so popular you'd have to limit the number of photo shoots she did a day......
