I gotta tell you, two straight weeks of three-day weekends made this five-day workweek seem soooooooo much longer... I was definitely ready for the week to be over already.

I didn't really get out and about much today; it snowed off and on most of the time, and a late night last night left me lacking much ambition to go hunt down places to photograph. Luckily, I decided to take my recycling to the drop-off center this morning, and on the way caught sight of a pair of horses moving around in their paddock. I'd hoped to get a picture of them interacting with each other, but they were much too interested in checking out the strange human staring at them for that to be happening in the limited time I had:

As soon as I stepped out of the car to take the picture, I noticed that the horse on the left had one blue eye and one brown—I've seen dogs, cats, and humans with that trait before, but never a horse. So I've cropped the above image to give everyone a better look:

Kinda cool, huh?

  1. You are an outstanding photographer, Sara.

    I'm really enjoying these.

  2. I've seen that blue-eyed phenomenon in horses before. It's creepy.
