Keeping it simple

Seeing as how I've had to sort through a lot of photos this week, and probably will be again tomorrow night after having dinner with my family, I decided to take a more minimalist approach today. So just a pair of photos this time around, both taken in the area around my apartment. Actually, come to think of it, they were taken within about a yard of each other.

First, a flower from one of many Spotted Touch-Me-Not plants growing along the chain-link fence at the edge of the yard:

And a bird's nest in what would seem to be a less-than ideal location:

Then again, it was a somewhat sheltered spot, and I did walk by it a few times before finally noticing the nest, so maybe it's not such a bad place to build a home after all...

  1. Well, putting the nest there would discourage most predators since it's both precarious and prickly.

    Love the flower.
