Scattershot: Animals

Okay, here's the deal: I pretty much lost my mind today and ended up with 1312 photos. Yeah, I know—I just admitted it was an insane thing to do. The downloading process alone took a couple of hours. My first pass going through the images, another couple of hours—and that only whittled the list of photos for possible blog inclusion down to somewhere between 50-75 images. And as you can no doubt see from the time stamp, it's now well after 11 p.m. So, it's either post a few photos now and get the rest up tomorrow, or quite possibly still be awake when the sun rises tomorrow. I'm opting for the former.

First, a shot I managed to snag of one gray squirrel chasing another; it's not the best picture in the world, given the distance and the lighting, but I loved seeing how elongated they got while in a full-out sprint:

A couple of shots of Molly:

And two of Kaylee, just to keep things even:

Much more from today's photo session to come, hopefully sometime tomorrow. If it makes any difference, I honestly think it'll be worth the wait. But for now, my pillow is calling my name...
