We woke up to single-digit temperatures this morning, so I really wasn't expecting much in the way of avian activity when I pulled up the window blind. Needless to say, it was a pleasant surprise when two Goldfinches came in to snag some breakfast, puffing out their feathers as they sat and ate to help insulate themselves against the cold:
A Chickadee decided to partake as well:
As did a White-breasted Nuthatch:
Finally, a pair of close-ups of two Titmice that also braved the cold; I love how this first one is hunkered up on the perch:
And with this last one I really liked the feather details, especially around its shoulder and wing:
