When I spotted this cloud formation as I headed downtown to get some lunch, it looked a lot like a raptor of some sort. Now, though, I see it as a feeding hummingbird instead:

My folks were kind enough to invite me over for dinner tonight, and as we waited for the burgers to cook I walked around the yard and photographed a few of the flowers coming up in various spots:




Dad spotted something interesting as we sat out on the porch—part of a tulip had grown up through a split in one of its own leaves:
