I suppose I can't keep putting off winter pictures forever...
As we had a snow day last Thursday, I had the chance to photograph a couple of cardinals that braved the storm to visit my feeder.
You can just barely see the back and tail of the female cardinal on the other side of the feeder:
The male, however, had no problem being seen:
They're always so striking against the snow:
I did manage to snag a single shot of the female when she peeked around the corner at me, which seems as good a choice as any to close this post with:
