Another sub-zero morning in these parts meant more birds doing what they could to stay warm. Starting things off today, a female Cardinal:

This one looks as grumpy as the rest of us feel about the temperature these days:
I imagine this one was spreading its wings to try and increase the surface area soaking up the sun's rays:
This one was out towards the edge of a tree branch—maybe debating whether it felt like leaving the sunshine to grab some food from the shaded bird feeder?
