Dog days of winter

My parents return home tomorrow, which means that Thursday I'll once again have to do a bit more work to find things to photograph—especially since I won't have Kaylee right there all the time as a standby subject. Today, however, you're still stuck with nature, fungi, and dogs.

These clouds, and the way the contrail bisected them, immediately caught my eye when I stepped out of the house this morning:

I've spent six weeks walking by these fallen trees and yet didn't notice these interesting fungus growths until today:

My boss's dog Sammy, aka the picture of comfort:

When I was hoe for lunch we ran into my parents' neighbor Colin while he was taking a walk with Kaylee's buddy Robby:

Which naturally led to a bit of playtime for Robby and Kaylee—unfortunately, only one of the photos I shot was actually in focus:

Yes, they really are having fun: I promise. ;)

  1. Awwwww! Playing doggies! So cute. I love the colors of the fungi, the peachy color and the tan/brown gradations. Those clouds look almost like snow. Nice.
